The Global Goals for Sustainable Development
Lute is committed to playing its part in accomplishing The Global Goals (officially known as the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs) in the following ways. We will continue to revise (and hopefully add to) this list as we scale, and as we increase our ability to make the world a better place for everyone.
For more information, visit The Global Goals. -
1 - No Poverty
Lute will provide free, democratic access to available economic opportunities (in-app tips, share of any and all Lute premium membership fees and ad revenue) for all contributing musicians worldwide.
-
5 - Gender Equality
Lute will provide an equal platform for all Lute Players, regardless of gender identity or gender expression. Applications to perform are audio-only, so we can focus on the music. All musicians will have an equal chance of being heard and being connected to listeners on our platform.
-
8 - Decent Work & Economic Growth
By its very nature, Lute will provide flexible, work from home (or anywhere) opportunities for musicians to broadcast - and be paid for - their music, reaching a worldwide audience, with no up-front fees, and no requirements for expensive gear, training, or promotion.
-
10 - Reduced Inequalities
Lute, through its default ‘global shuffle’ setting, allows any performers from any country, any market, to reach any number of new fans and earn for their art. Applications will be audio-only and acceptance will be merit-based. Specifically, this will further the ‘inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status.’
-
17 - Partnerships for The Goals
We are committed to increasing the musical exports of developing countries, and to supporting economic investment in developing countries by facilitating financial transactions between a global audience and worldwide performers.
